JUWEL NovoLux LED 60 Neo Light Unit

JUWEL NovoLux LED 60 Neo Light Unit is the current version of the NovoLux LED strip for a 60 cm aquarium, fixed to the glass with suction cups.

Key Features

• The newer NovoLux: Neo is the updated version of the strip. If you are buying for a new tank rather than matching something you own, take this one.
• No hood required: Suction cups onto the glass, which is what you want on a rimless or open-topped tank with nowhere for a tube to sit.
• Sized to the tank: This is the 60 cm unit. Tell us which aquarium you have and we will confirm the length before we dispatch.
• Takes the Day Control: On its own it switches on and off. Add the JUWEL NovoLux Day Control for timing and a gradual ramp instead of a hard switch.

Fitting It And Running It

• Suction cups onto the glass, so it needs no hood. They perish in warm water and let go eventually, so check them and ask us for spares.
• Six to eight hours a day on a timer is plenty on a small tank. More hours is not a substitute for more light, and it does grow algae.

Electrical Safety

• Keep the transformer, the plug and the socket above the water line and outside the cabinet, and leave a drip loop in every cable.
• Unplug it before you put your hands in the tank or work on the hood.

Good To Know

• A modest light, sized for a small tank. It will not run a demanding planted setup.
• The Day Control is a separate item. The strip works without it.
• Keep the adaptor above the water line, outside the cabinet, with a drip loop in the cable.
