Description
Hobby Aqua Tool 2-In-1 Aquarium Scissors & Tongs is one handle with two interchangeable heads - scissors for trimming plants and tongs for picking things up. For a small or medium tank it does the work of two separate tools and takes up one slot in the drawer.
Key Features
- Two Heads, One Handle: switch between scissors and tongs with a simple mechanism, so you are not reaching for another tool mid-job.
- Scissors: for trimming stems and cropping runners without crushing them.
- Tongs: for planting, repositioning decor, and retrieving the things that end up at the back of a tank.
- Keeps Your Arm Dry, which matters more than it sounds - a sleeve in the tank means a wet floor and a disturbed layout.
Good To Know
- This listing is the tool with both heads.
- Rinse it in fresh water and dry it after every use, especially after a marine tank. Salt water will pit even good steel.
- Cut cleanly rather than tearing. A crushed stem rots at the cut; a clean cut sends out new shoots.
- Unplug the heater and filter before you work in the tank. Metal tools and mains equipment in water do not belong together.
- For a deep tank you want the 40cm tweezers instead - this is sized for everyday work rather than reaching the bottom of a tall tank.
