FOFOS Bumpy Erratic Bounce Ball Dog Toy - WHITE

The FOFOS Bumpy Erratic Bounce Ball Dog Toy is sold by FOFOS as the Bumpy Erratic, and the name describes it better than the listing title does. The raised lumps mean it never bounces twice the same way.

Key Features

• Bumpy moulded surface, so it never quite bounces where the dog expects
• Hollow TPR body that gives under the teeth instead of being rock hard
• Light enough to throw a long way and to bounce high off a hard floor
• Small enough to carry, large enough not to be swallowed by a medium dog

Why The Erratic Bounce Matters

• A ball that bounces true is a chase the dog can solve in one go. A ball with raised lumps skips sideways, and the dog has to keep adjusting
• That turns thirty seconds of running into a few minutes of thinking, which is the better part of the exercise
• It also works indoors on tile, where a normal ball just rolls under the sofa

On A Hard Floor

• Erratic bouncing and polished tile is how dogs slip and pull shoulders. Throw it on a rug or outdoors where there is grip
• In UAE summer heat, keep outdoor play short and early or late in the day, and check the ground with the back of your hand before you walk on it

Good To Know

• Thermoplastic rubber (TPR) is soft enough to give under the teeth and firm enough to hold its shape
• It is a bouncing and fetching ball, not a chew. TPR this thin will eventually be punctured by a determined chewer
• Check it over for splits and deep gouges before each session and replace it when the surface breaks
• Supervise play and take the toy away once it starts to come apart. No dog toy is indestructible, and swallowed pieces can cause a blockage
