Description
The FOFOS Hippo Latex Squeaky Dog Toy is a soft hollow latex hippo with a squeaker inside. It squashes almost flat under a paw or a jaw and pops straight back out, which is most of the appeal.
Key Features
- Soft hollow latex that compresses right down and recovers
- Squeaker inside, triggered by the lightest squeeze
- Very light, so small dogs can carry and shake it easily
- Moulded hippo shape with a contrasting belly panel
How Latex Behaves
- Latex is soft and hollow, so it squashes right down and springs back with a squeak. Dogs that like a toy they can flatten tend to like latex
- It is thin. A dog that settles down to chew will puncture it, and once it is punctured it tears quickly
- That makes it a good toy for gentle mouthers, small dogs and puppies past teething, and the wrong toy for a destroyer
Good To Know
- Latex is soft and squashy rather than tough. It suits gentle mouthing and squeaking, not a committed chewer, and it will puncture
- Take it away as soon as it is torn. Strips of latex are swallowable and are not visible on an x-ray
- Supervise play and take the toy away once it starts to come apart. No dog toy is indestructible, and swallowed pieces can cause a blockage
