Description
The Marina Betta Kit LED Light is a small submersible LED made for the Marina betta kits, which clips to the back wall of the tank and lights the fish from behind the decorative background.

- Fits the 2 litre, 3 litre and Half Moon Marina Betta aquariums
- Fully submersible, so it can sit low in the tank where the light does most for the fish's colours
- Low-voltage 6 V design
- Attaches to the back wall of the aquarium — no bracket or lid needed
- Made by Marina, Rolf C. Hagen's entry-level aquatics brand and a sister brand to Fluval
Using It
- Give the tank a regular day and night. Around 8 hours of light a day, at the same time each day, is what fish are built for
- Turn it off at night. Fish need darkness to rest, and a light left on around the clock causes stress and grows algae
- If the light is in a child's room and the dark is the problem, use a separate nightlight rather than leaving the aquarium lit
- Unplug anything electrical before putting your hands in the tank
Good To Know
- The previous description recommended leaving this on as a nightlight for children. An aquarium light left on overnight is bad for the fish, so we have taken that out
- A light makes a betta's colour look far better, which is most of the reason to buy one
- More light on a small unfiltered tank means more algae. Keep the photoperiod short
- 6 V and submersible, but it is still an electrical item. Unplug it before putting your hands in the water
