Description
Hobby Bubble Air LED Aquarium Bubble Strip - 44cm is a lit bubble strip: a 44cm bar that sits along the back of the tank producing a curtain of bubbles with LEDs shining up through them. It is a decorative piece first and an aerator second, and it is honest to say so.
Key Features
- 44cm Long, for wider tanks where a 33cm strip looks lost.

Before You Order
- There is no air pump in the box. The bubbles come from your own air pump through an airline. Without one you have a light bar and no bubbles. Worth saying plainly because it is the commonest disappointment with this type of product.
- Coloured light and plants do not mix well. If you grow live plants, run this as evening lighting alongside a proper plant light rather than instead of one.
- Bubbles plus a lid means splash. A bubble curtain throws fine spray at the cover glass and leaves limescale in hard UAE water. Expect to wipe it.
Good To Know
- This listing is the 44cm strip, with remote and transformer.
- UAE mains suits this. Hobby build to 230V 50Hz, which is what comes out of the wall here, so there is no voltage problem. The plug is the European two-pin type, so you will want an adapter or a UK plug fitted - and it is worth running tank and terrarium equipment through an RCD-protected socket.
- Dry hands, and a drip loop. Let the cable hang below the socket so water running down it drips off rather than reaching the plug. Unplug before you put your hands in the water.
- Put it on a timer with your main light. Fish need a consistent day and night, and an aquarium left on coloured light all night grows algae and unsettles the fish.
- Suction cups perish in warm water. Expect to replace them long before the LEDs fail.
