Dymax IQ9 Mini Drop-Off Freshwater Aquarium Set - 48L

The Dymax IQ9 Mini Drop-Off Freshwater Aquarium is a 48-litre (12 US gal) drop-off mini aquarium with two tiers for aquascaping and a sliding sump filtration system, set up for freshwater.

Key Features

• 48 litres (12 US gal)
• Rimless, with all sides chamfered
• Two tier-scaping zones for a drop-off layout
• Sliding sump with 500 L/h return pump and 3-stage filter media
• Sump slides out for maintenance without stopping the return pump
• Protein-skimmer attachment option for marine and reef keeping

Good To Know

• Cycle a new tank before adding fish: give the filter bacteria around 4–6 weeks to establish and test for ammonia and nitrite first.
• Stand the tank on a level, rigid surface built for the full weight — every litre of water weighs about 1 kg, before substrate and rock.
• Keep the sump topped up — a low sump lets the return pump run dry.
• Unplug all equipment in the tank before putting your hands in the water.
• Leave a drip loop in every power cable, so water running down the cord drips off before it reaches the socket.
