Dymax Bio Max Sintered Glass Filter Media - 1L

The Dymax Bio Max is a biological filter media of porous sintered-glass rings with added prebiotics, giving beneficial bacteria a home to break down ammonia and nitrite.

Key Features

• Premium sintered glass with iron added, formed into rings (Dymax description)
• Porous structure houses large colonies of nitrifying bacteria
• Dymax adds prebiotics to help cycle new aquariums
• For freshwater and marine filters
• 1-litre bag

Good To Know

• Place bio media after mechanical media (sponge or wool) so it doesn't clog.
• Rinse biological media in old tank water, never under the tap — chlorinated water kills the bacteria that protect your fish.
• Never replace all your filter media at once; change a portion at a time so the bacteria colony survives.
• Cycle a new tank before adding fish: give the filter bacteria around 4–6 weeks to establish and test for ammonia and nitrite first.
