GiGwi Push To Mute Rubber Dumbbell - Red & Purple

The GiGwi Push To Mute Rubber Dumbbell in red and purple is the solid-colour version of GiGwi's switchable squeaky toy. Pull the nylon strap out and the squeaker works; push it back in and the toy is quiet. One toy, two settings, depending on whether you are indoors or out.

Key Features

• Squeak on demand: Switch the noise on for the garden and off for indoors.
• Hidden squeaker: Dogs work at finding the squeak, which is half the appeal.
• Dumbbell shape: Simple for a dog to pick up, and it bounces off true when thrown.
• TPR build: Flexible thermoplastic rubber with enough give to be comfortable in the mouth.
• Red and purple: One colourway, one size.

How Push To Mute Works

The squeak is controlled by the nylon strap, not by squeezing the toy. Pull the strap out firmly and the squeaker is live; push it back in and the toy goes quiet. That means you can hand over a squeaky toy for a garden game and a silent one for indoors, without owning two toys.

Which Push To Mute

• This one -- solid red and purple dumbbell.
• Transparent dumbbell -- the same shape in see-through purple and blue.
• Duck with a plush tail -- the softest of the three, with a fabric tail.

Good To Know

• Muting is for your benefit, not your dog's -- a muted toy is still a toy, and most dogs keep playing with it.
• The strap is part of the mechanism. Once a dog has chewed it off, the mute function goes with it.
• Not a tug handle. The strap is not built to take a dog's full weight against it.
• No toy is indestructible. Check it over before every session and bin it once it splits, frays or starts shedding pieces, because swallowed fragments cause blockages.
• Wash by hand in warm water with a little mild soap, rinse well and let it dry fully before giving it back.
• Not a children's toy. Keep it with the pet's things.
