FOFOS Roller White Cat Catnip Cat Toy

The FOFOS Roller White Cat Catnip Cat Toy is an open plastic lattice ball with a small white cat and catnip inside it. The lattice lets the scent out and the shape means it never rolls where the cat expects.

Key Features

• Open lattice ball the cat can hook a claw through
• Catnip-filled figure held inside, visible through the gaps
• Rolls and skitters unpredictably on a hard floor
• Light enough to be batted right across a room

A Toy For When You Are Not There

• An open lattice ball rolls unpredictably and skitters across tile, so a cat can start a game on its own without anyone throwing anything
• The figure inside moves independently as the ball rolls, which keeps it interesting for longer than a plain ball
• Put it at the top of a stairwell or on a hard floor where it can actually travel. On a rug it dies after half a metre

Getting The Most From The Catnip

• Catnip does not work on every cat. Roughly one in three has no response to it, and kittens under about six months usually do not react at all
• Put the toy away between sessions. Constant access dulls the response, while a rest of a few hours brings it back
• If your cat ignores catnip, silvervine or valerian is worth trying instead before you write the toy off

Good To Know

• FOFOS package this line as the Roller Unicorn range, so the pack art may not match the figure inside
• Check the lattice for cracks. A broken plastic edge on a toy a cat mouths is worth catching early
• Small cat toys are a swallowing risk for dogs and for children. Pick them up after play
