FOFOS Kayak Pet Bed

The FOFOS Kayak Pet Bed is a plush bed shaped like a kayak: a long boat hull with raised sides and a padded cushion in the middle. It is long and narrow, which suits a cat that likes to stretch out rather than curl up.

Key Features

• Soft plush lining throughout
• Raised sides that give a sleeping pet something to lean against
• Sized for cats and small dogs rather than for a labrador
• Novelty shape that reads as furniture rather than as pet equipment

Why Pets Choose A Bed With Sides

• Cats and small dogs sleep better with something solid against their back. A raised edge gives that on three or four sides at once
• It also holds warmth, which matters more in an air-conditioned flat than people expect - a cat will pick the warmest enclosed spot in the room every time
• Give a new bed a week before deciding it has been rejected. Put a worn t-shirt in it and it usually speeds things up

Sizing It Honestly

• These are cat and small-dog beds. Measure your pet curled up and allow a little either side before you order
• A pet that has outgrown a bed will sleep half in and half out of it, which is a sign to size up rather than a preference

Good To Know

• Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then air dry fully. Check the label before putting a shaped bed in a machine
• Put it somewhere the pet already chooses to sleep. A bed in the wrong corner of the room gets ignored no matter how good it is
• A bed is not a chew toy. If your pet starts working at the stuffing, move it out of reach and give them something they are allowed to shred
• One image in this listing shows a plush alligator toy rather than the bed. The product is the bed
