Description
The EHEIM skimmarine 600 is a sump-mounted protein skimmer for marine aquariums up to about 600 litres, using a needle wheel pump to strip waste out of the water before it breaks down.
Key Features
- For marine aquariums up to approx. 600 L
- Counter-current design with a needle wheel pump for very fine bubbles
- Pump output approx. 480–1900 l/h, air intake approx. 300–540 l/h
- Power consumption approx. 19–40 W
- 600 ml collection cup
- Adjustable air intake, water level and position in the sump
- Ceramic shaft for quiet running and long life
- Made in Germany, with a 3-year EHEIM manufacturer's warranty
Good To Know
- For use in a filter sump, not hung on the tank
- Give it one to two weeks to settle down — foam is unstable at first and on a new tank
- Empty and rinse the collection cup regularly; skimmate smells strongly
- Use a residual current device (RCD) on aquarium equipment and leave a drip loop in the cable so water can't run into the socket
- Unplug the unit before opening it or working in the tank
