Matching It To The Tank

• Aquarium furniture is a structural part, not something that happens to be the right height. It is rated for the load of the tank it was designed for and it supports the base across its whole area.
• Match it to the tank model, not to the litres. Two tanks of the same volume can have different footprints, and a base that overhangs even slightly is a cracked tank waiting to happen.
• Level it on the floor before the tank goes on, and level it again with the tank empty on top. Once there is water in it nothing can be adjusted.
• Tell us which aquarium you have and we will confirm the right one before we dispatch. It is a dear mistake to make by guesswork.

Looking After It

• Wipe up spills straight away. These are built from board with a finish on it, and water sitting in a seam or on a cut edge is what makes a panel swell.
• Keep the plugs, the adaptor and the extension block off the floor of the cabinet and clear of anything that can drip onto them. A drip loop in every cable, so water runs off rather than down into a socket.
• The inside of a cabinet under a warm tank stays damp. Leave the door ajar now and again, and do not use it to store anything that minds humidity.

• Flat pack. Build it where it is going to live, because a built cabinet does not go through a standard doorway on some of the larger models.
