JUWEL Eccoflow 300 Aquarium Filter Pump is the JUWEL Eccoflow pump in the 300 size, the pump that drives a Bioflow internal filter.
Key Features
- Replace like for like: Order the same number that is on your old pump. The Eccoflow housings differ between sizes, so a bigger pump is not an upgrade, it is a part that will not fit.
- The part that fails, not the filter: When a Bioflow stops, it is almost always the pump rather than the housing. Replacing the pump is far cheaper than replacing the filter.
- Check before you buy a new one: A pump that has slowed is usually clogged. Pull the impeller, rinse the grit out and check the shaft before you order a replacement.
- Ask us if you are unsure: Tell us which JUWEL aquarium you have and we will tell you which Eccoflow it was built with.
If The Filter Has Slowed Down
- It is usually blocked rather than broken. Check the mechanical pad first, the intake slot second and the impeller third.
- A filter that has stopped altogether is most often an impeller jammed with grit or a snail shell. Pull it, rinse it, check the shaft is not scored.
Good To Know
- The number is the pump size, not the litres of your tank. Match it to the pump you are replacing.
- We also stock the impeller and the ceramic shaft separately. If the pump runs but rattles, that is usually all you need.
- Keep the plug and socket above the water line, with a drip loop in the cable, and unplug it before you reach into the tank.
