JUWEL HeliaLux Spectrum LED Light Unit - 600 mm

JUWEL HeliaLux Spectrum LED Light Unit - 600 mm is a four-channel LED light unit for JUWEL aquarium hoods, 600 mm long, with white, blue, red and green LEDs you can set independently.

Key Features

• You set the colour, not the tube: Four channels mean you dial in the spectrum from the unit itself instead of buying a different tube. One fitting covers a planted tank and a display tank.
• Order it by the length: This unit is 600 mm and has to match your JUWEL hood. Tell us which aquarium you have and we will confirm it.
• LED, so it lasts and runs cool: Nothing to replace at twelve months, no spectrum drift, and far less heat into the water than a T5 of the same brightness.
• Takes a controller for sunrise and sunset: Add the JUWEL HeliaLux Smartcontrol for timed ramps, so the light comes up gradually instead of switching on like a floodlight.

Fitting It And Running It

• Order by the measurement, not by the litres. Tell us which JUWEL aquarium you have and we will confirm it before we dispatch.
• Check what is in the box. On several JUWEL units the power supply is a separate item, and a light unit without its transformer does nothing.
• Six to eight hours a day to begin with, on a timer, building up over weeks. In a Dubai summer run them through the cooler part of the day.

Electrical Safety

• Keep the transformer, the plug and the socket above the water line and outside the cabinet, and leave a drip loop in every cable.
• Unplug it before you put your hands in the tank or work on the hood.

Good To Know

• The power supply unit is a separate item on this range and the light will not run without it. The controller is separate too.
• Start modest. Full output on a new tank grows algae rather than plants, and four channels make it easy to overdo.
• Green and red are there to make fish and plants look right. They do little for growth on their own, so do not run them high and wait.
