How To Use A Shampoo Bar

• Brush the coat out first, then wet the dog thoroughly with lukewarm water.
• Rub the bar directly over the body to build a lather, working from the neck down.
• Keep it away from the eyes and ears.
• Rinse until the water runs clear, then towel off and brush the coat as it dries.
• Stand the bar somewhere it can dry out between baths. Left in a puddle it will dissolve into nothing long before sixty washes.

Wait until a new puppy has settled in and had its vaccinations, use lukewarm water rather than hot, keep the first baths short and pleasant, and dry the puppy properly afterwards. A healthy puppy needs washing when it is dirty and not on a schedule -- repeated washing strips a young coat of its oils.
