Four Paws Wee-Wee Pads For Little Dogs - 28 Count

The Four Paws Wee-Wee Pads For Little Dogs is sized for small dogs at 16.5 by 23.5 inches. A toy breed on a full-size pad is simply wasting most of it, and these cost accordingly.

Key Features

• 28 pads per pack
• 16.5 x 23.5 inches, sized for small and toy breeds
• Treated with an attractant
• Absorbent core with a leak-proof backing

About The Built-In Attractant

• Pads are treated with a scent that tells a dog this is the right place. It works on a lot of puppies and does nothing for some
• It only helps if the dog is near the pad at the right moment. Take them to it after waking, after eating and after play - those are the three reliable times
• If your puppy ignores the pad entirely, put a small amount of their own urine on it once. Scent marking is how they decide

Right-Sizing The Pad

• A pad much bigger than the dog is money on the floor. A pad too small means a wet floor, which is worse
• Watch where your dog actually stands. If they consistently use one edge, move the pad rather than buying a bigger one
• Small dogs need to go more often than big ones, not less. Puppy bladders hold roughly one hour per month of age

Using Pads Without Creating A Problem

• Put the pad in one fixed place, away from food and water, and leave it there. Moving it around undoes the training
• Reward the moment your dog finishes on the pad, not thirty seconds later indoors. Timing is most of house training
• Pads teach a dog that going indoors is allowed. That is the point for a flat or a puppy that is not fully vaccinated, but it makes the move outdoors a second piece of training rather than a smooth handover

Good To Know

• Take a chewed pad away immediately. The gel core is absorbent polymer and is not something a puppy should swallow
