Description
The Four Paws Super Mini Nail Clipper is a small clipper for small nails - cats, kittens, toy breeds and small animals, where a full-size dog clipper is too blunt an instrument to place accurately.
Key Features
- Small blades for precise placement on a thin nail
- Suits cats, kittens, toy breeds and small pets
- Stainless steel
- Light enough to use one-handed while holding a wriggling animal
Why Size Matters On Small Nails
- A big clipper on a small nail hides the nail behind the blade, so you cannot see what you are about to cut
- On a cat or a kitten you can usually see the quick straight through the claw. A small blade lets you stop short of it on purpose rather than by luck
- Keep styptic powder or cornflour in the grooming kit. If you do catch the quick it bleeds a lot, and pressure plus powder stops it
Small Pets Too
- Rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets all need their nails doing, and almost nobody does them often enough
- Rabbit nails in particular grow fast and the quick grows with them, so regular small trims are the only way to keep them short
- Have someone hold while you clip. A struggling rabbit can injure its own back
