Description
The Four Paws Magic Coat Pet Nail File takes the jagged edge off a nail after clipping. A freshly cut nail is sharp and splits easily, and thirty seconds with a file fixes both.
Key Features
- Smooths the rough edge a clipper leaves behind
- No pinching action, so it suits pets that fight clippers
- Works on cats and dogs
- Part of the Four Paws Magic Coat grooming range
Filing Instead Of Clipping
- Some dogs object to the pinch of a clipper rather than to having their feet held. Filing avoids that entirely
- It is slower, so it suits keeping already-short nails short rather than shortening long ones
- File in one direction, away from the quick, in short strokes
Why Sharp Edges Matter
- A freshly clipped nail catches on carpet and bedding and can tear out at the base, which is painful and bleeds a great deal
- It also scratches you, the furniture and any children in the house
- Short, frequent sessions beat long ones. A minute a day with treats builds a pet that tolerates grooming for life
