Flamingo Chew'n Snack Soft Beef Sticks for Dogs - 700g

The Flamingo Chew'n Snack Soft Beef Sticks for Dogs is a 700 g resealable tub of soft sticks about 10 cm long, made with 10% beef and stated by Flamingo to be gluten free.

Key Features

• Beef at 10%, with other meat and animal derivatives, cereals and derivatives of vegetable origin — a flavoured soft stick rather than a meat chew
• Sticks of roughly 10 cm, soft enough to be torn or snapped into smaller rewards
• Flamingo states the recipe is gluten free
• Supplied in a 700 g tub with a clip lid, which keeps them soft and keeps ants out better than a bag
• A complementary feed for dogs over 12 months
• Made by Flamingo Pet Products, a Belgian pet supplier based in Olen with more than 45 years in the trade

Feeding

• Flamingo states these are for dogs over 12 months. They are not a puppy treat
• Keep treats to roughly a tenth of the day's calories, and take the difference off the main meal
• Break the sticks down. A 10 cm stick is a meaningful number of calories for a small dog
• Useful for training because they tear cleanly and do not crumble in a pocket
• Always leave fresh, clean drinking water alongside
• Keep the tub closed and out of the sun. Soft treats dry out and go hard once air gets to them

Good To Know

• These are soft sticks. They will not clean teeth — that needs something a dog has to work at, or a toothbrush
• The listing previously described these as made from premium beef. Beef is 10% of the recipe; the rest is other meat and animal derivatives and cereals. Worth knowing if you are buying on the strength of the meat content
• Contains cereals, so not suitable for a dog on a grain-free elimination diet
• Not a long-lasting chew either. A dog that needs occupying wants something it cannot finish in five seconds
