Fish4Dogs Puppy Salmon & Sweet Potato Large Kibble - 6kg

The Fish4Dogs Puppy Salmon & Sweet Potato Large Kibble is Fish4Dogs' puppy food in the larger kibble size — Norwegian salmon with sweet potato instead of white potato, in a 6 kg bag.

Key Features

• Salmon (27.5%), sweet potato (26%) and salmon meal (20%)
• Analytical constituents: 30% crude protein, 14% fat, 7% crude ash, 2.3% crude fibre and 2.3% omega-3 fats
• Grain-free, with potato and pea carrying the carbohydrate
• Omega-3 at 2.3% matters more in a puppy than at any other age: DHA is used in brain and retinal development while a puppy is growing
• A complete food for growing puppies
• The larger kibble suits puppies of medium and large breeds
• Made by Fish4Dogs, a British company that builds its recipes around fish rather than using it as a flavouring

Feeding

• Feed to the chart on the bag by your puppy's current weight and expected adult size, and update it as the puppy grows
• Split the daily amount across three meals up to about four months, then two
• Large-breed puppies should be kept lean and grown slowly. Overfeeding a big puppy loads growing joints
• Change food over across about a week, mixing a little more of the new in each day
• Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available

Good To Know

• Store the bag sealed in a cool, dry place. Fish-oil-rich kibble goes stale faster than most once air reaches it
• Fish is a common trigger in dogs with food sensitivities. If your dog has itchy skin or recurring ear trouble, fish is worth ruling in or out with a vet rather than feeding more of
• Stay on puppy food until roughly twelve months, and longer for large and giant breeds. Moving to adult food early short-changes a puppy on protein and minerals during growth
• Weigh a growing puppy every week or two. The feeding chart is a starting point, not an instruction
• Grain-free is a formulation choice rather than a treatment. A suspected food allergy needs a vet-supervised elimination diet
