Catry Cat Tower with Condo, Tunnel and Sisal Ramp - Brown and Beige, 55 x 55 x 122 cm

The Catry Cat Tower with Condo, Tunnel and Sisal Ramp is a 122 cm brown and beige cat tree with a condo, a raised tunnel, a paw-shaped perch and a sloped sisal ramp that works as both a gentle way up and a horizontal scratching surface.

Key Features

• Sloped rope-covered ramp from the floor to the first platform, so a cat that does not jump well can walk up - and the ramp doubles as a horizontal scratcher.
• Raised tunnel at the top level.
• Enclosed condo with a round doorway.
• Paw-print shaped perch on the side.
• Wide mid platform with a cut-out, so a cat can drop straight through to the level below.
• 122 cm tall on a 55 x 55 cm base.
• Rope-wrapped posts throughout, in brown and beige plush.

Good To Know

• The ramp makes this one of the easier tall models for a kitten, an older cat or a cat with stiff joints, because the first level can be walked up instead of jumped to.
• It arrives flat-packed and takes an adult to build. Work through the steps in order and tighten every bolt fully, then re-check them after a few weeks and every few months after that, because climbing slowly works them loose.
• Keep cats and children away from the loose bolts and small fittings while you are building it.
• This is a tall, top-heavy piece. Stand it against a wall on a hard, level floor rather than deep carpet, and strap it to the wall with a furniture anchor if one is not supplied in the box.
• Check the condo doorway and the tunnel against your own cat before ordering. A large adult over roughly 6 kg, or a very fluffy cat, may find the openings a tight squeeze.
• Cats guard high spots. In a multi-cat home, two or three smaller perching places spread around the house usually work better than one big tower in a corner.
• Scratching is normal, healthy behaviour, not damage. If your cat is working on the sofa, stand the tower right beside the spot they are using and move it gradually once they switch. Never punish a cat for scratching.
• Rope-wrapped posts shed short fibres as they are used. That is normal and a sign the post is doing its job - vacuum around the base.
• Particle board and plush are not waterproof. Vacuum the plush and spot-clean marks with a barely damp cloth, and keep the tower away from bathrooms, balconies and anywhere it will get wet.
• A cat that suddenly stops jumping or climbing, or that will not use a tower it used to love, is often in pain. Arthritis is common in cats and easy to miss, so have them checked by a vet rather than assuming they have simply gone off it.
