Can’t find your answer? Ask our team.

What is the best way to use Stella & Chewy's freeze-dried food ?

You can feed the freeze-dried raw patties and Meal Mixers dry or rehydrate them. If you choose to serve it dry, ensure your pet has access to plenty of water. If you are concerned about water intake, rehydrate the food with cool or warm water or broth before feeding. If fed dry, the food can sit out for up to 12 hours before discarding. The food can sit out for up to 2 hours if fed and rehydrated.

Can I store rehydrated freeze-dried food in the refrigerator?

Yes, but only for a maximum of 2 days. After rehydrating, store it in the refrigerator as soon as possible without leaving it out for more than 2 hours.

Is it okay to heat the food?

No, heating or cooking the food in any way is not recommended as it can affect the nutritional value and potentially eliminate the benefits of feeding a raw diet. Raw ground bone, added to our raw diets, can also become brittle and splinter when cooked, posing a potential danger to your pet.

Can I freeze Stella's Stew?

Yes, you can freeze Stella's Stew wet food. Just ensure not to freeze an unopened container, as it may expand and burst. If you have leftovers from an already opened carton, they can be safely frozen.

Is a transition necessary when using Meal Mixers?

Yes, when fed as a topper, slowly introducing the Meal Mixers to your pet's diet is recommended. Start by decreasing the current food you are feeding to avoid overfeeding. If you need help with the calculation, contact info@thepetsclub.ae. If you are using the Meal Mixers as a complete and balanced meal, follow the transition timeline outlined on the packaging.
